01.02.23 ONDA & STORIA première @Festival Longueur d'Ondes, Brest.

Onda & Storia is the adaptation on a child's scale of the radio performance A modest opera created in 2021 at the Festival Archipel Genève. For the Festival Longueur d'Ondes, the artist proposes an augmented listening experience, in the dark, between broadcasting, live and cinema subtitling.

Emêtre
is a series of performances in which the position of sender, receiver and sender is successively questioned. In one of its components, Singing Archives: Archived Songs and Sung Archives, is transmitted a selection of "raw" documents, the context of their harvests and the resulting "fired" pieces. Singing Archives: Archived songs and sung archives Performed listening session, 45 ’- During a residency in an art center (ISELP) two years ago, I asked myself the question of audibility. So I went back to my hard drives to understand why I had given up on broadcasting this radio piece, using this interview or publishing this record. As a result of this investigation, I realized that my difficulty in transmitting was precisely what I had tirelessly tried to capture: a form of weak signal from history. This bankruptcy has paradoxically become precious to me. I decided to order the route and to put together a poetic inventory of these phantom excavations. On set, Singing Archives is activated through a paper edition distributed to viewers who choose a set of archives - narrated, sung or recorded - from among 18 chapters. There is a random replay of a research path that circulates just as much outside as it does in my own body.

13.03.20 THE DOWSER (SOURCIÈRE) @ LA FERME ASILE, SION

The Dowser (Sourcière) in framework of Rudy Ducélière's exhbition L'Accalmie des Paradoxes

Echoing Rudy Ducélière’s play J’irai avec elle, Myriam Pruvot offers a sung performance entitled Sourcière in reference to the dowsers, people who probe the groundwater using a wooden rod. Sourcière is a feminine neologism which refers as much to this obsolete practice as to the figure of the witch. Since the efficiency of the dowsers has never been able to be scientifically demonstrated, a hypothesis is nonetheless put forward in the book The signal of the dowser: the wand would play a simple role of earthquake detector, caused by a geo-sensitive variation of the Earth's magnetic field , that only receptive people could perceive. To the "replicating" Rhône which flows through Rudy Ducélière's video installation, Sourcière responds with another invisible and vocal signal. Here the tremor is sung and draws the magnetic reliefs of an underground river.

12.09-14.12.2019 BABEL / " 3 x TIRÉSIA" @ ISELP

Installation & performance in framework of BABEL, a collective exhibition around orality & language.

The Babel exhibition brings together recent works based on the spoken word. Operating on both an intimate and a political level, the works selected address the changes that languages are presently undergoing. Some artists focus on the disappearance of minority languages; others try to (re-)learn languages forgotten by History or by their own personal histories. Several artists propose alternatives and dream of a universal language like Esperanto, the heteroglossia or sign language. In a more political way, Babel also looks at how language is a tool for discrimination. Can you be refused entry to a country because of the language you speak? And what can we amount to in a country whose language we have not mastered?

The Babel exhibition is supported by a programme of performances, film screenings, conferences, meetings and workshops.

I join the collective Unberwith finance lab as a researcher during this summer to design the sound and the gesture of a new ritual.

The rituals of unbewitch finance take the form of a temporary occupation of public space. New collective rituals are taking place there to transform our economic system. The public is invited to a space of sharing and experimentation with artistic practices and witches.

22_23_24_28_29.05.2019 HURLER SOUS LA LUNE / MATHIAS VARENNE

Hurler sous la lune, a piece from Mathias Varenne

A story is told. First we witness its construction and then its transformation, as if we are looking through a hallucinating prism that distorts the words and images. Following his research at L’L about the poetry of the beat generation and the work of Allen Ginsberg, Brussels-based artist Mathias Varenne has created Hurler sous la lune. Varenne is fascinated by the importance of orality and storytelling, and yet he questions here the custom of perpetuating one single version (History with a capital H) that disregards the existence of a multiplicity of accounts (histories). Influenced by science-fiction practices, Varenne offers a new form of storytelling with this project. By combining text, video, light, and sound, Hurler sous la lune has the form of a narration that is progressively filtered, as if by a chemical substance or a kaleidoscopic lens; a gesture to remind us that our world, locked in its pragmatic narrations, definitely needs unusual stories, images and heroes.

22.03.2019 LES YEUX GRANDS FERMÉS

For a weekend, multiple creations will resonate in the theater to introduce to a public of the uninitiated the different facets of the art of radio. It is an invitation to listen together to the world and the voices that inhabit it: a cinema for the ear.

09.03.2018 ROUND TABLE "WOMEN DRIVING CHANGE" + PERFORMANCE

Women as vectors of change: art as a remedy for dominant models.

Round table moderated by Marie-Anne Muyshondt from C.D.G.A.I. (Center for Dynamics of Groups and Institutional Analysis) with Loraine Furter, Désorceler Finance, Myriam Pruvot and Élise Dutrieux. Whether it is a visibility, a desire for emancipation, an exit from precariousness, the desire to gather to be stronger, to exchange and help each other, alternative and feminist approaches will be presented as remedies or reparation to dogmas dominating work and art. The match will close with a live performance by Myriam Pruvot.

14.01.19 - 05.04.19 RESIDENCY ISELP / ARCHEOLOGY OF SILENCE

from 14th of January to 5th of April I will be in residency @ ISELP

For the residency from January to March 2019, ISELP welcomes artist Myriam Pruvot. A graduate in visual arts and composition, she borrows many media among which voice and language remain constant. The artist conducts investigations related to their paradoxical status: traces are inscribed despite their fleeting nature, their immateriality. The collection of clues anchors his most recent work to a documentary form. Fiction or singing nevertheless intervenes as catalysts of thought.

15.11.18 VOIX IMPOSSIBLES #2 ON DIFFERENCE WITHOUT SEPARABILITY

In framework of ARS MUSICA & PALMA ACUSTICA

Radio live performance from Myriam Pruvot's workshop . In collaboration with Camille Lancelin, Isabelle Sainte-Rose, Maïté Jeannolin, Cabiria Chomel, Jacques Lemaire, Caroline Sordia, Caroline Logiou, Sybille Cornet & Julie Peyrat. Music by Monolithe Noir.

How to give voice to any form of invisibility ? For this second edition, VOIX IMPOSSIBLES workshop proposes to draw inspiration from Denise Ferreira Da Silva's text from On difference without separability. By 2016, this text-manifesto suggests to re-examine our world and our identities through new tools of poetic thoughts. Listening a choir of 8 performers interpreting a collective radio score with texts, sounds and songs. From this vocal and musical eco-system emerge the voices of inaudible presences : invisible, living or inanimate forms, past and present ghosts. Radio becomes a contact membrane, threshold surface between the worlds.

La parole chanceuse is originally a short text by Marguerite Duras from her collection La Vie matérielle, of which only the title remains. The author describes the invisible armament that gives a so-called "lucky" speech to an audience. And when it happened to you once, « la parole chanceuse », it happens to you all the time after. The borrowing of this "magic" formulation serves as a pretext for the unfolding of a story: the daily life of a young girl’s home, their learning of the world. The indices of time, place and action are incomplete. To this story is enshrined the speech of Mohamed Ali who preceded his fight against George Foreman in 1974.
